Hi, my name is Coy Sanders and I am a Cloud Engineer currently working for Hewlett Packard Enterprise. I have over seven years of experience supporting enterprise-scale high-availability Linux environments where I perform support on multiple layers of the stack; from the Application Level down to the Hardware/OS Level (Linux, RAID, Xen/KVM Virtualization, firmware patching). I currently lead a team devoted to upgrading and configuring the cloud with new software releases, hotfixes, and server deployments.
I have a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo which combines both Electrical Engineering and Computer Science disciplines. Since then I have been continuing my training through work experience and self-learning skills on various layers of the stack on the side. I obtained the Linux+/LPIC-1 Certifications from CompTIA in 2015 and currently going through FreeCodeCamp's tracks to learn current web-development practices.
In July 2016 I earned the Front-End Certification, and in February 2017 I earned the Data-Visualization Certification from FreeCodeCamp. While I plan to continue learning more about coding and pursing FreeCodeCamp's curriculum, I am also interested in continuing to pursue other certifications on both CompTIA's track (A+, Network+, Security+) as well as others such as RedHat certifications. The ultimate goal is becoming a true Full-Stack Engineer who is capable of building and supporting components on all layers.
